FuzziBunz Cloth Diapers Review & Giveaway

Continuing my cloth diaper event post, I am getting into a review of FuzziBunz cloth diapers, one of my personal favorites. I was originally introduced to the brand by The Feminist Breeder at BlogHer last year. I had not had any personal experience with them until that point. Of course I had heard about them, but never tried them, or bought any.

I was able to score a free diaper in one of my all time favorite colors, Apple Green!  Isn’t it just the best color ever, especially for a little boy?   I have a thing for bright green… but anyway, enough about the color itself.

When I got home I was super excited to try the diaper out, and add it to my cloth collection which at that point only consisted of one type of diaper. Heck, I still consider myself a cloth diaper newbie, and I will fully admit we have disposable diapers in the house still. Sometimes we just need them.

Not only did I fall in love with the one FuzziBunz I had in my collection, I knew that I needed more of their diapers!  We had no leaks, the quality of the diaper itself, and the absorbency of the liners were all home runs out of the park for me.

Not only that but the colors are to die for. That is a big selling factor for me when I start shopping for diapers. Colors. I am allllll about colors!   They have everything from bold to pastel, and even neutral colors. One of my other big favorites is the choco truffle… well and the cotton candy. Heck, I could probably list half the color choices and consider them favorites.

This time around I knew I would be adding more FuzziBunz into my collection for the new baby, and thus far we have two cute ones for her in Cotton Candy, and Crushed Berries, which I have also been trying out on our youngest son who is cloth diapered. Nothing better than my little boy, who is all boy… dirt, snakes, bugs.. you name it… running around in a pink diaper. Hah!

There are tons of reasons to pick FuzziBunz, but they have an awesome resource section of their website that highlights why moms should choose their product.

In honor of our daughter Little Miss A coming, cloth diapering from the newborn stage on, and the review today… I am going to be giving away a one size FuzziBunz diaper, and a hanging diaper pail!

To enter to win, you need to be signed up for the cloth diaper event first!

Then below comment about why you love FuzziBunz Cloth diapers, and what your favorite feature of the diaper is!

Be sure to also become a fan of Momotics and FuzziBunz Cloth Diapers on facebook!

Good Luck!

And thank you to FuzziBunz for providing two one size cloth diapers free of charge for review.

Week 15 – C-Section Essentials Bundle from Earth Mama Angel Baby

If you know that you are going to have to have a c-section, like I very well may be with this baby, although she has thrown us some more new curve balls in the last week… This is a complete must have for recovery.

Planning for my postpartum recovery has been hard, not only emotionally but also because I know what kind of process I will be going through after the fact.  Lets face it… c-section or any major surgery sucks.

Earth Mama Angel Baby is one of my favorite companies out there, and since having children I truly learned how important their products are, not just because they are organic, but because of the skin reactions not only I have, but my children have had to typical shampoo, and body wash products like Johnson & Johnson. I had a very similar experience to Gina (The Feminist Breeder) when it came to my children and sensitive skin.

I am grateful that there are products on the market like this, not just for my children, but also for myself.  Heck, without the Happy Mama Spray I would not have survived my first trimester.

But today, I am going to be giving away this awesome kit for c-section moms. In the next two weeks I am going to start featuring a series of positive, and medically necessary c-section stories for my readers. Not because I am super excited about the circumstances I find the birth of my third child in… but because I think that the fact that there are positive and medically necessary c-sections on occasion is greatly over shadowed about the negative we hear. (I am still accepting submissions)

How can you enter to win?   Well, its pretty typical to all of my giveaways thus far!

Each of the below is ONE entry!

1. Follow Momotics on Twitter, and Facebook
2. Follow Earth Mama Angel Baby on Twitter, and Facebook
3. Subscribe to Momotics (scroll down on the left hand sidebar)
4. Head to the Earth Mama Angel Baby website and leave a comment with your favorite product
5. Discuss a reason for a medically necessary c-section (Bonus entry)
Good Luck!

Week 14 – Lansinoh Gift Package

One of my favorite companies for breastfeeding accessories. I would have never made it through my pregnancies and breastfeeding without Lansinoh.  It started with the obsession with their lanolin cream, which in our house has been officially dubbed boob cream. Or the milk storage bags. The way our freezer is set up, my original plan of using storage containers, or actual ice cube trays to make trays of breast milk cubes to store simply wasn’t an option.

This week I am going to be giving away a great gift basket from Lansinoh which I also had the opportunity of receiving and reviewing from Lansinoh, lots of awesome products, and some of my all time favorites.

What am I giving away?

1 New Lansinoh Affinity Double Electric Breast Pump
1 Box of Lansinoh Breast milk storage bags
1 Box of Breast Milk storage bottles
1 Package of Soothies Gel Pads
1 Box of Lansinoh disposable breast pads

Lots of great stuff right?

Lansinoh just released their double electric breast pump, the Affinity…

Some of the features include:

  • Custom Expression TM Technology for maximum milk flow
  • Guaranteed to prevent milk backup in tubing & pump
  • One-touch let-down button
  • ComfortFit TM breast flanges for a soft, secure fit
  • Easy to use – easy to clean
  • Adjustable cycle & suction
  • Designed for everyday long term use at home or away
  • Built-in bottle holders to help prevent spills
  • AC adaptor or battery operated (6 AA batteries not included)
  • BPA Free

The only product I wasn’t able to use, or haven’t used in the past, clearly because I didn’t want to go into labor yet… Especially being so close to my due date at this point!

The breast pads and lanolin have been fixtures in both my breastfeeding experiences, and even all three of my pregnancies. I can honestly say I have never tried anything else. With my second son before we found out it was my breast milk he wasn’t tolerating, and we had to wean him, I was also hospitalized three times in the first five weeks of his life. Which completely sucked, but we lived by using the milk storage bags.   We never had one leak!  I highly recommend them, especially because of the no leak factor. I don’t know what we would have done without them in that period of time.

Want to know how you can win this awesome Lansinoh Gift Package?  Well of course you know how we typically do things here!

Each of the below is ONE entry!

1. Follow Momotics on Twitter, and Facebook
2. Follow Lansinoh on Twitter and Facebook
3. Subscribe to Momotics (scroll down on the left hand sidebar)
4. Head to the Lansinoh website and leave a comment with your favorite product

Good Luck!

Week 12 – BelaBumBum Ariel Mom & Baby Set

This week is a favorite of mine!  Not only do I love BelaBumBum Maternity and Nursing wear but this is probably going to be one of my favorite reviews, and giveaways!

The first time I got a chance to really relax and wear this was the week I had the kidney stone from hell. And let me tell you, the Ariel Mom and baby set had the most comfortable “mom” portion of the set ever. It was probably the softest nightgown/robe I have worn, and I loved every minute of it!

I can’t wait for the baby to come too so that I can dress her up in her matching nightgown. Because it is one of the sweetest things ever.

I love the set so much, I am going to give one away too!    So how can you enter to win?

1. Follow Momotics on Twitter, and Facebook

2. Follow BelaBumBum on Twitter, and Facebook

3. Go to the BelaBumBum site and check out their Boutique!   Comment below with your favorites!

Good luck!  I will announce the winners, in this post Sunday of next week before I post the new Virtual Baby Shower Giveaway!

Week 11 – NouWall on Etsy

Welcome back for Week 11 of the Momotics Virtual Baby Shower!  We are starting to get down to the last couple reviews and giveaways. This week we have a review with an opportunity for readers to win with every purchase in the NouWall Etsy store!

With all the decorating and designing we have been doing in the nursery, we did not want the boys to feel left out. So we decided to re-vamp their room a little bit, although we just did that a couple months ago.  Right now they are obsessed with Cars, Monsters Inc. and of course Dinosaurs. My oldest is the one really on the Dino kick. To the point where most of his Christmas presents were dinosaur focused and inspired.   Ben is more into cars. He knows all the characters by name, so we figured we would move all the cars wall decals we already have up onto his side of the room, and add dinosaur’s to Camden’s section.

When I came across this scene on Etsy, I knew it would be perfect for the project I had planned in my head. I just needed to find dinosaur bedding for his bed (which I am still looking for) and he would be all set.

My biggest suggestion when using Vinyl wall art, like I said with my review last week, is having two people and two sets of hands to work together getting it up and positioned properly. If not, you are going to be in for a whole world of trouble. Had I tried to do it myself, or without my husband, there is no way it would have come out looking the way it should.

I am sure like with anything, the more time, and decal’s you do, the easier it becomes, but man… I have two left hands as it is!  But overall I love the art.  And the owner of the shop was easy to work with, quick shipping, and great response time on all messages.

Instead of a giveaway this week, the owner of NouWall offered a free decal with every purchase you make from their store. So if you go onto the store, and find something you love, and you purchase, message NouWall, and let them know you came by from the Momotics Virtual Baby Shower, and you will get a free decal with your purchase!

Come back to the Virtual Baby Shower next week for a chance to win an Ariel Mom & Baby Set from BelaBumBum (which rocks!)

Week 10 – Wall Art Designs on Etsy!

Welcome back to week 10 of the Momotics Virtual Baby Shower!!  Time flies when you are having fun right?  Only 8 weeks left until my daughter will be here!

I think my husband probably is on the verge of killing me after my project and giveaway for this week. He thought that putting up the vinyl wall art was going to be as easy as the other peal and stick art we have already put up in the nursery itself which we quickly learned was not the case.

This week  I am featuring Wall Art Design on Etsy, and you can enter to win a $50 gift card to their online store… and who doesn’t LOVE Etsy?

When it came to decorating the nursery for our daughter, I came across this store on Etsy and fell in love with some of their different designs. Originally I wanted to do a cherry blossom tree if I ever had a daughter, but then I became obsessed with the whole owl theme. I have gone slightly overboard on owls, but in a totally cute way!

I picked out a two tree set with tons of owls, and two birds… and then harassed my husband to put it up for weeks. Finally he decided to help me do it after my baby shower. I think seeing all that stuff come back into the house, kind of made him realize this baby is coming… soon!

This is the tree I think came out good, but this was also the second one we put up, together, all hands on deck!  My biggest suggestions when working with this type of wall art is:

1. Have TWO people doing it… You need ALL the extra hands you can do.
2. Peal the FRONT off of the vinyl first because it is more difficult to get off once it is actually on the wall.

If you do that, you will be in a much better position than the first tree DH and I got up:

Sometime today I plan to re-stick the pink tree and pray it actually stays stuck to the wall itself.  But I guess since this was our first time really working with this kind of project, we didn’t do too bad. But they will look more in place and of course better once I get all of the room decorations up… as well as the dresser build which I am going to be putting in that corner.

How can you enter to win the $50 gift card?  Each of the below is ONE entry!

1. Follow Momotics on Twitter, and Facebook

2. Go to Wall Art Design on Etsy and reply with your favorite wall art design in their store.

3. Subscribe to Momotics (scroll down on the left hand sidebar)

Remember to leave a comment for each entry!

Good luck!  I will announce the winners, in this post Sunday of next week before I post the new Virtual Baby Shower Giveaway!

**Edit**  Congrats to Danielle H the winner of this weeks giveaway!

Week 9 – Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bra

Welcome back to week 9 of the Momotics Virtual Baby Shower!!  We seem to be truckin’ right along weekly huh?

I must say, even in the past three years since my oldest son was born, the technology surrounding breastfeeding, and nursing in general has really taken off. I never had a double pump because I didn’t have the need to really pump a ton, but with this baby and the busy nature of life in general lately, a double pump is a must have for successfully breastfeeding. On top of that, I was looking around for a kick ass hands free nursing bra/bustier because of course I just cannot sit and hold a breast pump on for an hour to pump.  Being able to multi-task is a must, especially with two other toddlers!

Enter the Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bra!  The answer to my pumping prayers. Not only is the bra easy to get on, it is amazingly simple to actually hook the pump up to, and get situated. You do not need 14 hands like you would think some fancy contraption would require.

I gave it a test ride a couple weeks ago, of course as soon as it came in the mail I had to open it up and check it out. I am a total dork like that, and it worked out fantastically. Not only that but it is actually very comfortable!  Which when we think about it, or at least in past experience for me, there aren’t tons of nursing stuff (including pumps) that can be labeled as comfortable.

This video highlights many of the amazing features of the Simple Wishes nursing bustier including:

  • Different options for sizing, and re-sizing your bustier over time, and depending on the fullness of the breast at the time of pumping to help create a better/tight seal.
  • Different wearing options
  • Various (4) layers of support while pumping

I would say this is a complete must have for all mothers who have a need to pump, whether it is to just share the experience of feeding with a partner, or going back to work full time.

This week to giveaway to the readers, Simple Wishes has offered not one but two Simple Wishes Hands Free pumping Bustiers!

How can you enter?  Each of the below is ONE entry!

1. Follow Momotics on Twitter, and Facebook

2. Follow Simple Wishes on Twitter, and Facebook

Week 8 – Ergo Baby Heart2Heart Insert!

I need to start my post off today by saying how much I love my ERGO!  I don’t think that I could live without it, and while I have not worn a newborn (yet) I am looking forward to it… I am going to need every free hand I can get with the flock of children I will have come May.

Today I am talking about the ERGO Carrier Heart2Heart insert so you can wear your baby from birth on in your Ergo carrier. Something I was worried about until I realized they actually made something for this.  A couple great perks of the heart2heart insert are:

  • The Heart2Heart is compatible with all of the ERGO carriers.
  • The Heart2Heart carries and places your newborn in the safest position possible after looking to many research studies, Chiropractic studies, etc.

But what I like the most personally is:

Our innovative design promotes healthy maturation of the spine by supporting the pelvis, hip joint, and leg position rather than putting a baby in a compromising sitting or hanging position before the spine is ready.

Which is incredibly important in the first years of life!  Can you tell my children routinely see a Chiropractor?

I can certainly say, I am looking forward to this baby coming, and one of the main reasons is to try out my new ERGO insert. And now I am going to hook one of my lucky readers up with their own Heart2Heart insert!  Even better right?

Now for the giveaway!!

How can you enter?  Each of the below is ONE entry!

1. Follow Momotics on Twitter, and Facebook

2. Follow ERGO on Twitter, and Facebook

3. Go to the ERGO Store and check out the different Hear2Heart inserts, and their colors, and comment below with your favorite!

4. Subscribe to Momotics (scroll down on the left hand sidebar)

Remember to leave a comment for each entry!

Good luck!  I will announce the winners, in this post Sunday of next week before I post the new Virtual Baby Shower Giveaway!

Week 7 – Apple Cheeks Cloth Diapers

This week I have an awesome giveaway of one of our favorite products in our house!   The cloth diapers we use!  Apple Cheeks Cloth Diapers. A mother owned and run business based out of Canada.  I will be giving away a little bundle!

When I first started cloth diapering my kids, I started out using Apple Cheeks cloth diapers last summer. We transitioned my youngest son into them, as we continued to desperately try to potty train the oldest. Which we still are doing

Not only is the system extremely easy to use, I am very partial to them because they are the first cloth diaper I actually used long term, and stuck with. Not only that, but the customer service is awesome, any issues or concerns are handled in a very timely manner.

Not only do they make awesome envelope covers, but they also have all kinds of other awesome products like flushable liners, which are a favorite in our house, as well as swimmy diapers, re-usable breast pads, etc.

I mean, come on… How cute does it get?  This is my youngest, Benjamin in his applecheeks, and this cover is probably my favorite color… dark chocolate. But there are all kinds of cute colors!

Now for the giveaway!!

How can you enter?  Each of the below is ONE entry!

1. Follow Momotics on Twitter, and Facebook
2. Follow AppleCheeks on Twitter, and Facebook
3. Go to the AppleCheeks store and comment with your favorite product, and diaper color!
4. Subscribe to Momotics (scroll down on the left hand sidebar)

Good luck!  I will announce the winners, in this post Sunday of next week before I post the new Virtual Baby Shower Giveaway!

Week 5 – The Original Nipple Cap

Just when you thought you had seen it all, then came the Nipple cap, while it sounds like something dirty, or maybe even some kind of breastfeeding accessory, it really is apparel for your baby!

An adorable, and warm hat that your little one can wear around, and even while breastfeeding to just piss other people off. LOL!  I love it!  And they come in all kinds of sizes.

I originally found this on Etsy, and thought what a neat idea it was, and when I actually got mine in the mail, I knew it was really quality work, since you never really know what you are going to get when you order something online.

Now the Etsy store  Hamlethen is giving one away to one of my lucky readers!

Week 4 – Morning Sickness Soothers

Welcome to week 4 of the Momotics Virtual Baby Shower!  How exciting… I feel like we just started it yesterday and we are already on week 4!  This week I am featuring something that worked wonders for me when I was in my first trimester, and in the first few weeks of my second trimester.  All the smells of motherhood, and simply around the house were enough to send me over the edge constantly.

I was offered some Morning Sickness Soothers to review, and they became my best friend. My personal favorite were the lemon scent. Anything citrus-ish always has helped me with nausea a ton.

The soothers clip easily right inside your nose, so virtually the only scent you are smelling is the aromatherapy from the product. I even went out and bought more when the sample pack I got in the mail ran out because they helped that much!
Best part too is you can barely see them unless you really look hard… This is a picture I took of my son and I when we went to the circus back in October… I KNEW I needed to bring one with me… just because of the smells of the circus… and it worked!

Morning Sickness Soothers is going to be offering one lucky reader a sample pack of their product!  It is worth its weight in gold if you are pregnant or planning on having anymore children,  I promise!

To enter to win :
(Each is worth on entry, must comment for each entry!)

1) Follow Momotics on Twitter
2) Follow Morning Sickness Soothers on Twitter
3) Follow Morning Sickness Soothers on Facebook
4) Follow Momotics on Facebook

Week 3 – Go Mama Go Designs Wonder Bumpers

Welcome to Week 3 of the Momotics Virtual Baby Shower!  So far we have had two awesome giveaway’s with 6 winners between the two!  Sounds like we are on a roll right?  This week I am featuring one of my favorite products we have been using in our home for almost a year now, ever since I learned about them!

Wonder Bumpers are essentially safe crib bumpers. They are not your traditional crib bumpers which pose suffocation, and strangulation risks, they are breathable, and soft to help prevent injury, and also Pediatrician recommended!

Four our nursery, we picked out the Pink and Chocolate set, which I am super in love with!

Not only are they cute, and safe for your little one, they have won a ton of safety and product awards in the couple years this Mom owned and run company has been around.

A great product for babies, if you of course have made the choice to use a crib, and with all the recent recalls and investigations into cribs, and crib bumpers, you want what is best, and safest for your child.

On top of the product itself, Go Mama Go Designs is always holding giveaways, and twitter parties hosting a plethora of different giveaways. Right now through their blog they are giving away $100 to their online store once they hit 1000 followers on twitter.

So what can you win today?  You can win your own set of wonder bumpers!  You can pick one of five set choices:

Hayden Stripes
Pink Damask
Blue Damask
Blue Bird
Lotus (full set not available, but the bumpers themselves are)

Complete two of the below ways to enter to complete one entry:

1) Follow Momotics on Twitter
2) Follow Go Mama Go Designs on Twitter
3) Follow Momotics on Facebook
4) Follow Go Mama Go Designs on Facebook
5) Become a subscriber to Momotics

Week 2 – Maxwell Dean Designs Nursing Cover

Talk about some of the cutest handmade products for Mom and Baby I have ever seen!  I am so glad that someone hooked me up with Ashley, the owner… because I would have never come across her on my own… another reason why I want all of my awesome readers to check out her online shop.

Maxwell Dean Designs sells everything from handmade (custom) nursing covers, to burp cloths, wet bags, car seat canopies, onsies, and even stuff for your older kids. There is virtually almost anything you can think of… You pick your own fabric choices too, from what seems like hundreds of different choices!   When I picked my nursing cover out, I picked out her cute cupcake print… Now that we are doing an owl themed nursery, I am determined to buy these :

Too cute huh?
Trying my nursing cover out was easy… the cover is simple to use, simple to adjust the size, and I know that once this little girl is here it won’t be as difficult to use when I am out in public, or even at home using it. Unlike some other nursing covers I have come across in the past that seem like you need a trick to use them properly.

This week for the Virtual Baby Shower we are going to be giving away one custom Maxwell Dean Designs nursing cover!
To Enter to Win:

Complete two of the below for one entry

1) Follow Momotics on Twitter
2) Follow Maxwell Dean Designs on Twitter
3) Follow Momotics on Facebook
4) Follow Maxwell Dean Designs on Facebook
