I tend to include pictures in my posts, so I thought it would only be fair to post a little bio for each person, and why they are important to our family.  We are definitely a motley crew.

Danielle AKA Mommy

Camden, Danielle, and baby Benjamin

Of course most of you already know me from my blog, but who am I really?  I am a mother of two young boys, doula by trade, and I am working towards becoming a Childbirth Educator sometime in 2010. I am a birth activist, Lactivist, VBACtivist, ICAN Chapter Leader and Northeast Regional Coordinator for ICAN, it has become my biggest passion since my first cesarean birth in 2007. I was born and raised on the Connecticut shoreline and still reside in the same area despite a short relocation to North Carolina, which I loved! But alas my family, friends, and life is in Connecticut. I have a passion for life that I learned from my father. I may mope around occasionally, especially in the winter time because I hate the cold, but in the summer it is hard to keep me in one place. Family is very important to me. My own immediate family, my extended family, and family in general. We get together every Sunday for family dinner, which is very important to me. I have passions for writing, birth, photography, cooking, and overall just shaking things up.

Will and Camden (9 months)

William AKA Daddy Volunteer Fire Fighter for our local  fire department, Echo Hose, veteran Marine, and father, my husband William is a shining star in my eyes. He busts his ass to support our family, doing anything and everything he can to enable me to continue to be a Stay at Home Mom and do what I love. Will served from August of 2001 and was finally finished with her service in the Marines in November of 2008.  He lives for his boys and sometimes is a third son!   He was raised in the Connecticut Valley, and lost two brothers before we welcomed Camden into the world. Christopher Kent who Will was closest to and best friends will passed away in November of 2007, and Corey passed away from SIDS at 17 days old. He is also close to both of his sisters, Candy, and Liz.

Camden at 26 months

Master Camden “Boober”  Kent Camden Kent was born on December 11th 2007, and is our first born. He is not a vibrant, smart and hysterical toddler. He enjoys the company of his little brother who he loves so much, it is adorable. He also enjoys his Elmo Kitchen, Fire Truck, and Handy Manny Laptop. He loves going to the fire house to see and play on the trucks with Daddy, playing outside, and making snowmen in the winter. He has his own motorcycle, which is an Indian just like Grandpa’s and he loves to ride it into my mother (Grandma Ole’) china cabinet. In the summer he enjoys swimming, and harassing the dogs in the yard. He is the light of so many people’s eye especially my mother better known as Grandma Ole’

Benjamin @ 8 Months

Mr. Benjamin “Joji” Emil Benjamin Emil joined us on May 17th, 2009 after a long 26+ hour VBAC attempt turned to emergency cesarean. While disappointing for me, it set the tone for this bossy little man and the attitude that would come along with him. He is bossy, bold and nothing like his easy going older brother!  We all joke that had Ben been our first child, he would be an only child!  I am sure we all think that about our second though! He enjoys chewing on blankets, eating paper (if we have it in our hands of course) Yo baby yogurt, and all of his wonderful chewing teething toys that he has, especially his monkey. He hates napping in a room with lights on, or sun light, heck, he hates napping in general. He does not enjoy co-sleeping with Mommy and Daddy like Camden does and has remained comfortable in the Arms Reach Co-Sleeper, and not our bed. Lately he actually likes the glorified changing table called a crib we have. Good maybe someone will get some use out of it! His best feature is his bright blue eyes, which he has had since the day he was born, just like his father, and if you were to put Williams baby picture next to Benjamin’s, you would not be able to tell the difference! He is his father in almost every way there is (minus attitude of course) He has one tooth so far, and loves his exersaucer!
