So much has gone on this week in my life, and in the world that I thought it would be best to really cover it all, and post why these events are important.
ABC News covered two high profile news stories regarding birth, and promotion of Natural Birth as well as Out of the Hospital birth.
Now to talk about things going on around the world of Blogging… I try to keep up with as many of my favorite blogs as I can, but with two kids, and the increased amount of things I have going on in my life it is hard to make my way every where I want to be.
If I forgot you, or your awesome blog, I am sorry!
National Institute of Health is holding its VBAC Conference this week. No ya don’t say right? I have only talked about it how many times in recent weeks right? LOL Well there are a lot of good posts, and posts about the conference coming up. I will be starting my live coverage tonight starting with The Feminist Breeder’s Radio Special. You can watch all of my live updates on NIH’s VBAC Conference here.
And last but not least, the highlights from my own life this week.
So overall, it was a pretty good week.
I am thinking about doing this type of a post weekly, so it you like it, comment and let me know!
I am planning on getting pregnant in December 2010 (or whenever it happens thereafter) and have been on quite a journey with my husband as we’ve learned more about birthing options. (We would like to be pregnant now, but have to put it off due to both of our jobs – but we figured it is never too late to start learning). Over the course of several years, I’ve gone from wanting a scheduled c-section, to a natural hospital birth, to a birth at a birth center, to wanting a home birth! My husband has enjoyed watching me progress and is glad that I took more than 9 months to research this and figure it out. We will start interviewing midwives this Fall. Super excited!
Stopping by from SITS!

i didn’t even know there was a name for it. “gender neutral”… the boys have a toy kitchen, and a shit ton of cars and trains. They have a baby doll and you know what?? They’re boyish AND nurturing all at once. I love it.
I do most everything around here just because hubby is navy. washing dishes and fixing toilets. My mom was like that as well. Dad was a paramedic and would be gone for 24/48 hour shifts.
i don’t see how it’s so radical…. it’s life. and for some of us, it’s just plain ol’ survival. lol

I completely agree! I can’t imagine if I depended on my husband for “man” things these days because of the amount he is away.
Congrats on the new computer. I too just upgraded. I love my new system. I upgraded all my programs too so I have the 2010 database and the most recent version of Word, Excel and such.
Just stopping to say I LOVE your blog! I’m new-ish to all this Birth business and have just gotten super into it over the last 6 months as I began my DONA Doula training. I swear 90% of my online time is birth related! The other 10% is for home school stuff.
My Twitter is starting to look like a who’s who in the internet natural birth/vbac world as I stalk other people Twitter for cool people to follow. Anyhow…just saying thanks, love what you do, and all the links to other awesome stuff I hadn’t found yet! Keep up the awesome work!
